Errands on the way

Every errand, on the way there

Coming with the next update for iPhone. Say what you need to do before you pick someone up, and TimeLoop works out the order of the stops, the hour of each and when to set off.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. 1
    Say it once

“After six we pick up Mia and Leo. Before that the ATM and the pharmacy.” TimeLoop reads the timed thing and the errands before it. Planning from a sentence is part of TimeLoop Pro.

  2. 2
    See the route

Up to six stops are put in the order with the least driving, each with its hour, and you see when to leave. On iPhone the stops are on a map, and a tap opens the directions in Google Maps.

  3. 3
    Add it to your day

Each stop becomes an event at its hour and place, with the drive before it kept free, and the rest of the day is planned around them.

In detail

What it does for you.

When to leave

Counted back from the pickup: the minutes at each stop, the drive between stops and a moment to arrive.

The least driving

With up to six stops, every order is tried and the shortest drive in all is kept. With more, the order you said is kept.

The drive for that hour

Each drive is what it is expected to take at the hour you travel. It is not live traffic.

Nothing guessed

A stop whose place is not found is left off the route and waits as a task before the hour.

When it comes

Errands on the way come with the next update of TimeLoop for iPhone, as part of TimeLoop Pro. On Android and in the browser they are not there yet.

Where it starts from

From where your phone is, when you set off today within about an hour and a half. Otherwise from home or work, by the working hours in your settings. If TimeLoop cannot tell where you start from, or where the pickup is, the errands are planned as before, as tasks before the hour, without a route.

What it does not do

It does not check opening hours, so a shop may be closed when you get there. It does not follow live traffic. And when the time to leave has already passed, it shows the route and says you should have left earlier, rather than adding it to your day.

Questions

Asked before you asked.

Can TimeLoop plan a route with several stops?

Yes, with the next update for iPhone and TimeLoop Pro: the errands before a timed pickup or appointment are put in the order with the least driving, each with its hour, and you see when to leave.

Does it use live traffic?

No. Each drive is what it is expected to take at the hour you travel.

Does it check whether a shop is open?

No. Opening hours are not checked.

Is it free?

Errands on the way are part of TimeLoop Pro, like planning from a sentence and when to leave. Adding errands by hand is free.
