TimeLoop vs Structured

Both show your day as one visual timeline. They differ in how the day gets there, and in what each event knows about itself.

TimeLoop fits if

You would rather say what needs doing and have the times found for you, with travel counted in and the plan written back into your calendar. Or you plan with other people and want to see when everyone is free.

Structured fits if

You like arranging your day by hand on a polished timeline, you want it on a Mac, an iPad or an Apple Watch, with a Pomodoro timer and widgets on Android, in your own language, or you prefer a one-time purchase to a subscription.

TimeLoop

Your day.
Planned for you.

You say what has to happen. TimeLoop keeps the fixed things where they are and finds a time for the rest.

Only in TimeLoop

What TimeLoop adds.

Each event knows the way

With Pro, TimeLoop measures the trip from where you are, shows when to leave and blocks that time in your day.

Planning with others

Circles show when everyone is free, and anyone can propose a time. A shared list comes with each.

The calendar follows

Your plan is written into its own TimeLoop calendar, and a change made there comes back as a suggestion.

The difference that matters most

Structured is a timeline you build: you lay out your tasks, and its Pro plan adds AI that drafts them and a way to move the ones you missed. TimeLoop builds the timeline for you and rebuilds it when the day changes. You say what has to happen, and a scheduler places it around the events that cannot move, counting the way there.

Structured is by far the bigger of the two: its website counts more than 15 million downloads, and it runs on more devices and in more languages, with an Editors’ Choice from the App Store. If the timeline is what you want and you enjoy arranging it, it is the safer pick.

Questions

Asked before you asked.

How do I add things in each?

In Structured you place tasks on the timeline yourself, or let Structured AI draft them with Pro. In TimeLoop you say or type a sentence and the scheduler finds the times (Pro), or you add things by hand.

Which one writes my plan back to my calendar?

TimeLoop does: it reads your calendars as fixed events and writes your plan into its own “TimeLoop” calendar. Structured’s help centre says its calendar import goes one way, with Pro.

Does TimeLoop run on Mac, iPad or Apple Watch?

No. TimeLoop is for iPhone and Android phones. Structured runs on all of those and on the web.

Where do the facts about Structured come from?

From Structured’s own website, help centre and App Store listing, read in October 2026. If something has changed since, their pages are right and this one is out of date.
