Alternatives

Motion alternatives for one person’s day

Motion schedules work: projects, teams, meetings. If what you want planned is your own day, these five are worth a look. And if it is a team’s projects, stay with Motion.

Why people look for one

Motion describes itself as an AI app for work: projects, tasks, calendar, meetings, documents and notes in one. Its plans are priced per seat, each with a monthly allowance of AI credits, and its pricing page offers a free trial and names no free plan.

For a team that is the point. For one person who wants the dentist, the gym and three errands fitted around two meetings, it is a lot of product around the part they need.

5 to look at

Each one, in its own terms.

1

TimeLoop

The day planned from a sentence ours

Who places the tasks
A scheduler, around your fixed events and the way to them; you confirm. Planning from a sentence is Pro, by hand is free
Calendars
Reads the calendars on your phone and Google Calendar as fixed events, and writes your plan into its own “TimeLoop” calendar; free
With other people
Circles joined by a link, a shared list in each, finding a time everyone is free
Where it runs
iPhone and Android phones (coming soon to both stores). No iPad, Mac, watch or web app
Free and paid
A free version; Pro monthly or yearly. On the App Store the yearly plan starts with a free week

Pick it if you want your own day planned on your phone, errands and family included, from a sentence, with the way to each place counted in. Not if you need projects or a team’s work scheduled: TimeLoop does neither.

2

FlowSavvy

A calendar that schedules your tasks

Who places the tasks
It does: tasks are auto-scheduled by deadline and rescheduled when plans change. Events are never moved
Calendars
Two-way sync with Google, Outlook.com and iCloud calendars; writing its tasks out to them is part of Pro
With other people
Made for individuals, in its own words
Where it runs
The web, iPhone and Android
Free and paid
A free plan that schedules two weeks ahead; Pro, with a 7-day trial, schedules eight

Pick it if you want your task list scheduled for you on a computer as well as a phone, with Outlook.com in the mix, and a free plan that already does the scheduling.

3

Reclaim

An AI calendar on top of Google or Outlook

Who places the tasks
It does: focus time, habits and tasks are scheduled into your calendar around your events
Calendars
Runs on your Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar account
With other people
Scheduling links for meetings; paid plans are per seat, with controls for a team
Where it runs
The web, on your calendar account. No iPhone or Android app of its own today, says its help centre
Free and paid
A free Lite plan for individuals that schedules one week ahead; paid plans schedule further

Pick it if your day lives in Google Calendar or Outlook on a computer and you want focus time and habits kept free there, with a free plan to begin on.

4

Morgen

A calendar app with an AI planner

Who places the tasks
Its AI Planner recommends where tasks go, inside the week you have laid out; you accept or adjust
Calendars
Google, Outlook, Apple, Fastmail and more in one app, with travel time and buffers blocked for you
With other people
Booking links, colleagues’ availability, and team plans priced per seat
Where it runs
Windows, macOS, Linux, the web and mobile
Free and paid
A 14-day free trial, then a subscription, monthly or yearly

Pick it if you plan at a desk, your tasks live in tools such as Notion, Todoist or Linear, and you want suggestions you approve.

5

Sunsama

A guided daily plan for work

Who places the tasks
You do, in a daily planning routine: tasks pulled from your work tools are timeboxed on the calendar by hand
Calendars
Syncs with Google, Outlook and Apple calendars
With other people
Made for professionals; an enterprise tier with single sign-on
Where it runs
The web, macOS and Windows, with iPhone, iPad and Android apps
Free and paid
No free plan, by its own choice; a 14-day free trial, then a subscription

Pick it if you want a calm daily routine for work: pull tasks from Asana, Trello or Jira, decide what fits today, and end the day on time.

Or stay

When Motion is still the best choice

Your planning is work, and mostly on a computer: projects with stages and dependencies, a team whose tasks have to be scheduled against each other, meeting notes that turn into tasks, and Outlook, Google and iCloud calendars in one view. TimeLoop does none of that and does not try to.

As of October 2026. What is said about each planner comes from its own website, help centre or store listing; if it has changed since, their pages are right. They belong to their makers and have nothing to do with TimeLoop. The order is ours: TimeLoop first because this is its website, the rest by how close they are to Motion.

TimeLoop

Your day.
Planned for you.

You say what has to happen. TimeLoop keeps the fixed things where they are and finds a time for the rest.

TimeLoop

Where TimeLoop differs.

One person’s whole day

Errands, the gym, a pickup and the meetings between them: planned together, not only the working hours.

The way is counted

With Pro, the trip to an event is measured from where you are and kept free in your day.

Said, not entered

With Pro you say or type one sentence on your phone. There is no project to set up first.

Where TimeLoop is not the answer

TimeLoop has no projects, no dependencies between tasks, no team workload, no meeting notes and no booking links. It runs on iPhone and Android phones, with no desktop or web app, and it does not connect to Outlook directly. If any of those is what you use Motion for, TimeLoop is the wrong replacement, and one of the other four, or Motion itself, is the right one.

Questions

Asked before you asked.

Is there a free alternative to Motion?

By their own pages, FlowSavvy has a free plan that schedules two weeks ahead and Reclaim has a free Lite plan that schedules one week ahead. TimeLoop is free to plan with by hand, and its planning from a sentence is part of Pro. Morgen and Sunsama offer a free trial.

Which Motion alternatives schedule tasks for you?

FlowSavvy and Reclaim place tasks into your calendar themselves. Morgen’s AI Planner recommends and you accept. TimeLoop’s scheduler places what you said around your fixed events. In Sunsama you plan the day by hand, in a guided routine.

Which one works on a phone?

TimeLoop is made for iPhone and Android phones only. FlowSavvy, Morgen and Sunsama have phone apps beside their web or desktop apps. Reclaim’s help centre says it has no iPhone or Android app of its own today.

Can TimeLoop replace Motion for a team?

No. TimeLoop plans one person’s day. It has no projects, no team workload and no desktop app.

When is Motion still the best choice?

When your planning is work on a computer: projects, a team, meetings and documents that have to be scheduled together.

Where do these facts come from?

From each planner’s own website, help centre or store listing, read in October 2026. If something has changed since, their pages are right and this one is out of date.

Your day, figured out.

Say what you need to do. See your life fall into place.
