How it works
Three steps.
- 1
Answer with one touch
“How are you feeling?” waits on Today’s card with three faces: low, fine, high. One answer a day, and a touch changes it.
- 2
Take the offer, or leave it
When today holds more than your answer carries, “Lighten the day” appears under it. Nothing moves until you have seen the change and kept it.
- 3
Compare and keep
Before and after, with each thing that moves and the day it goes to. One tap keeps it. Undo is offered right after, for a few seconds.
On Today
Asked once a day
How are you feeling?
Answered, on a full day
Opened
A lighter day
Gym moves to tomorrow, 17:30.
Study stays: no other day has room.
In detail
What it does for you.
The answer stays on your phone
It is kept on the phone and nowhere else: not on our server, not with your circles, not in what the language model reads.
The heaviest first
As few things as it takes leave the day, the heaviest of the flexible ones first, each to the nearest day with room for it.
Fixed stays fixed
Fixed events and the way to them never move. Neither does anything done, under way, or said to be urgent.
Honest when nothing can move
If everything left today is fixed or has nowhere to go, TimeLoop says so and does not keep offering.
What moves, and where it goes
Only flexible things that have not begun and that take effort: a block of work, a study session, a workout, an errand. The heaviest goes first, and no more are moved than it takes for the day to fit.
Each goes to the nearest day that has room for it in its own part of the day, up to six days ahead and no further than your plan reaches. It keeps its hour when that hour is free there. A deadline still holds, and a session of a goal moves only where the goal allows: its days, its week, and out of the rain if you asked for that.
The day it lands on is not made too full in turn: it has to stay within what an ordinary, steady day carries.
What never moves
Fixed events, and a trip together with what it leads to. Anything that is done or already under way. Anything you said is urgent. Meals, because a meal weighs nothing and moving it would lighten nothing.
Something that repeats is handled one day at a time. That day of it moves to the nearest day that does not already have it, so nothing is doubled. When every day has it, as with a daily routine, it is skipped today and said so. The rest of the series stays as it is.
When something should move and no other day has room, it stays where it is and TimeLoop names it. It is not sent to wait in Tasks. When nothing in the day can move at all, that is said in the place where the offer stood, and the offer is not made again that day unless your plan or your answer changes.
How a day is weighed
You are not asked to rate every task. Each block already has a kind and a length, and each kind has a weight: an hour of deep work or study counts as a full hour, a meeting a little less, a workout less again, an errand half, a meal nothing.
A steady day is taken to carry seven such hours, a low day five and a high day eight and a half. On Today the offer appears once you have answered and the day adds up to clearly more than your answer carries. That is all the question is used for.
None of this measures anything about you. TimeLoop asks one question and plans around the answer. It is a planner, not a health tool, and a lighter day is a change to a schedule and nothing more.
Where your answer goes
Nowhere. Your answer stays on your phone and counts for today only. Tomorrow you are asked again. Your last answers, two weeks of them at most, stay on your phone too; they are only used to show the days just behind you against how you said you felt on each.
When you ask for a lighter day, your phone sends one number with the request: how much the day should carry. The server works out that one plan with it and does not save it with the change. What is saved is that the day was lightened and what moved, as with any change to your plan.
“Energy today” is a screen of its own: touch the arc on Today’s card, or open it from Profile. It shows how full today is against your answer, what weighs most in it and the days around it, and it lets you change or clear the answer. Switch off “Ask me how I feel” there and the question is gone from Today and from the morning brief.
Urgent, or no rush
How soon something is placed can be said in words as well. With TimeLoop Pro, “the report is really urgent” places it ahead of the other things planned with it, and “no rush” lets it go after them. TimeLoop takes this only from what you said about that thing; it does not guess.
Something you called urgent is also never moved off a lightened day.
Free or Pro
The question and the lighter day are free, like every replan made with a tap. The morning brief, which asks the same question and makes the same offer, is part of TimeLoop Pro. So is saying in a sentence that something is urgent or can wait, like all planning from what you say or type.
Questions
Asked before you asked.
What does TimeLoop do with my answer?
It compares it with how full today is. When the day holds more than the answer carries, it offers a lighter day. That is all the answer is used for.
Where is my answer kept?
On your phone, and it counts for today only. Your last answers, two weeks at most, are kept there too, to show the days just behind you against how you said you felt. None of it is saved on our server, sent to the language model or shown to your circles.
What does “Lighten the day” move?
The heaviest flexible things that have not begun, as few as it takes, each to the nearest day with room within the next six days. You see before and after first.
What does it never move?
Fixed events and the way to them, anything done or under way, anything you said is urgent, and meals. One day of something that repeats can move to a day that does not have it, or be skipped for today; the rest of the series stays.
Can I undo a lighter day?
Yes, right away. Undo is offered for a few seconds as soon as you keep the lighter day, and brings back the plan as it was.
What if nothing can move?
TimeLoop says so where the offer stood, and does not offer again that day unless your plan or your answer changes.
Does TimeLoop read my health data?
No. It measures nothing and reads nothing of the kind. It asks one question and plans around your answer, and the answer stays on your phone.
Can I stop being asked?
Yes. Open “Energy today”, from the arc on Today’s card or from Profile, and switch off “Ask me how I feel”.
Is it free?
Yes. The question and the lighter day are free. The morning brief, which also asks, is part of TimeLoop Pro.
